Liverpool, England-based melodic death metal band Carcass have filmed a music video for the track \u2018The Scythe\u2019s Remorseless Swing\u2019. Directed by Chris Marley, the clip can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Carcass issued seventh full-length album Torn Arteries<\/em><\/a> on September 17th, 2021 through Nuclear Blast Records.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think as our seventh album, it does stand out from the others both sonically and stylistically,\u201d said frontman Jeff Walker. \u201cYou can definitely tell that it\u2019s Carcass; when you drop that needle on the vinyl, when you hear that guitar tone, you can tell it\u2019s Bill Steer, but each album is always a product of its time.\u201d<\/p>\n

The album\u2019s cover artwork was created by Zbigniew Bielak who traveled outside his normal wheelhouse to bring forth a time lapsed set of photos showing vegetables shaped like a heart, rotting over time upon a white plate. This form of artwork was influenced by Japanese Kus\u00f4zu, meaning: \u2018painting of the nine stages of a decaying corpse\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s very clean, white, which we\u2019ve never done before,\u201d explains Walker. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t look evil, or typically death metal, but I like how clean it is; almost like a coffee table book.\u201d<\/p>\n
