Italian technical death metal band Hideous Divinity issued three-track EP LV-426<\/em> on April 23rd, 2021 through Century Media Records.<\/p>\n

The concept of the EP is a sub-narrative of the 1986 film Aliens<\/em>, directed by James Cameron and the second in the Alien<\/em> franchise.<\/p>\n

Hideous Divinity commented: \u201cWe chose to concentrate on the story of Rebeca \u2018Newt\u2019 Jorden, the six-year old girl rescued on the alien infested planetoid LV-426 by Ellen Ripley. We live the story from her point of view, a mixture of childhood\u2019s happy life and memories cut off by the alien attack.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rounding out the EP is a cover interpretation of the track \u2018Delirium Trigger\u2019; written by Coheed And Cambria, its original rendition featured on March 2002 debut album The Second Stage Turbine Blade<\/em>.<\/p>\n

LV-426<\/em> was produced by Stefan Morabito at 16th Cellar Studio in Rome Italy.<\/p>\n

Cover artwork duties fell to Colin Estrada.<\/p>\n

All three clips can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Fourth studio record Simulacrum<\/em> was released in November 2019 via Century Media.<\/p>\n
