DESASTER Premiere \u2018Learn To Love The Void\u2019 Music Video<\/strong><\/span>

Koblenz, Germany-based black \/ thrash metal band Desaster have released a music video for the track \u2018Learn To Love The Void\u2019, which can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the video,\u00a0guitarist Infernal said: \u201cEnjoy our new video clip, filmed at one of the rare live concerts in 2021, PartySan Herbstoffensive in Weimar, Germany. It was great to enter the stage again, we hope you can feel the hellfire burning and learn to love the void!\u201d<\/p>\n

Desaster issued ninth full-length studio album Churches Without Saints<\/em> on June 4th, 2021 through Metal Blade Records.<\/p>\n

Churches Without Saints<\/em> marks the first full-length Disaster album to feature drummer Hont, who replaced Tormentor in 2018. Regarding Hont\u2019s contribution, guitarist and founding member Infernal said: \u201cHe\u2019s a very skilled drummer and can play really anything. Whereas in the past the songwriting was a lot of \u2018trial and error\u2019 with testing many rhythms, we nowadays can work much more efficiently. Hont knows what rhythms fit to the riffs immediately. He has studied Desaster\u2019s music in detail and knows what works best, but he is not just copying Tormentor\u2019s style – he brings his own skilled style into the music, and also some new rhythms and figures. That of course brings some fresh wind into the songs.\u201d<\/p>\n

The album was tracked in the band\u2019s rehearsal room and was recorded, mixed and mastered by their live mixer Jan \u201cJanosch\u201d Gensheimer. \u201cIt was a big goal for me to change the sound a bit,\u201d said Infernal. \u201cWhereas the last albums had a very harsh sound, where the mid and high frequencies were dominating, I wanted a warmer and smoother sound this time. I always liked the sound of our Tyrants Of The Netherworld<\/em> album from 2000 very much, and the new album is an effort to develop this sound with more details and different instruments. On Tyrants…<\/em>, we had the rough mud of deepest hellish caves, now we present you the black lava which is flowing around the throne of Satan himself!\u201d<\/p>\n
