British extreme metal band Cradle Of Filth have filmed a music video for the track \u2018How Many Tears To Nurture A Rose?\u2019. Directed by Vicente Cordero (Industrialism Films), the clip can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the video, frontman Dani Filth said: \u201cThis is yet another great video by director Vicente Cordero, encapsulating the occult essence of the song\u2019s lyricism with great sweeping colourful strokes of total batshit-craziness. It really makes for frightening, yet strangely compelling viewing!\u201d<\/p>\n

Cradle Of Filth issued 13th full-length studio album Existence Is Futile<\/em> on October 22nd, 2021 through Nuclear Blast Records.<\/p>\n

Dani Filth commented: \u201cThe album is about existentialism, existential dread and fear of the unknowns. The concept wasn\u2019t created by the pandemic. We\u2019d written it long before that began, but the pandemic is the tip of the cotton-bud as far as the way the world is headed, you know?<\/p>\n

\u201cI guess the title, Existence Is Futile<\/em>, does sound a little morbid. But again, it\u2019s more about recognising that truth and saying that everything is permitted because nothing really matters, which mimics the occultist Aleister Crowley\u2019s maxim. We all know we\u2019re going to die, so we might as well indulge life while we possess it. The final track on the album – \u2018Us, Dark, Invincible\u2019 – really drives that point home.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlso, the artwork for this record was created by the Latvian visionary Art\u016brs B\u0113rzi\u0146\u0161, who also dressed the last two albums, and that reeks of the exceedingly beautiful yet apocalyptic too.\u201d<\/p>\n

Existence Is Futile<\/em> was once again recorded at Grindstone Studios in Suffolk, England with producer Scott Atkins.<\/p>\n

Cover artwork duties fell to Art\u016brs B\u0113rzi\u0146\u0161.<\/p>\n
