Richmond, Virginia-based thrash metal band Enforced issued second full-length studio album Kill Grid<\/em> on March 12th, 2021 through Century Media Records.<\/p>\n

Kill Grid<\/em> was recorded with longtime engineer \/ producer Bob Quirk, with Arthur Rizk handling mixing duties.<\/p>\n

Cover artwork duties fell to Joe Petagno.<\/p>\n

Directed and edited by Ethan Gensurowsky, a music video was released for the track \u2018Malignance\u2019. Also, a music video was filmed for the song \u2018UXO\u2019, that clip directed by J.D. Burrow.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the song, vocalist Knox Colby said: \u201cThis song is lyrically self explanatory. It\u2019s about the cluster bombing of Laos during the Vietnam War. The main focus of the lyrics are about the cultural impact that the unexploded ordnance (abbreviated UXO) has had over the last 50 years. Over 20,000 people have died accidentally from stepping on these bombs that are the size of a softball and scattered over the entire country, which is predominantly covered in dense jungle (last I checked, 35% of the country is still contaminated with UXO). It\u2019s an issue the United States has only recently owned up to, but the government won\u2019t apologize for; it\u2019s shameful.\u201d <\/p>\n

Guitarist Will Wagstaff added: \u201cWhen this song was written I was listening to two specific songs on repeat. \u2018Dying\u2019 by Obituary and \u2018Corporal Jigsore Quandary\u2019 by Carcass. Both tracks are just so driving with the double bass and grooviness and I wanted to try to write something somewhat in that vein.\u201d<\/p>\n

In addition, official visualizer videos were created for the songs \u2018Hemorrhage\u2019 and \u2018Curtain Fire\u2019. All four clips can also be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Debut studio record At The Walls<\/em> was released in July 2019 via War Records.<\/p>\n
