Kotka, Finland-based melodic death \/ doom metal band Marianas Rest have filmed a music video for the track \u2018The Weight\u2019, which can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Marianas Rest issued third full-length studio album Fata Morgana<\/em> on March 12th, 2021 through Napalm Records.<\/p>\n

Regarding the album, the band stated: \u201cFata Morgana<\/em> is a voyage into isolation. A passage to a place where minds get distorted by the cold. The name \u2018Fata Morgana\u2019 comes from a mirage caused by extreme cold. On this record, we use it to tell that the narrator sees the world distorted. He can no longer see things that are beautiful and that is one of the reasons he makes bad judgments. Maybe he was always like that. Who knows.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fata Morgana<\/em> was produced by Teemu Aalto and Marianas Rest, recorded and mixed by Teemu Aalto at Teemu Aalto Music Productions, and mastered by Svante Forsb\u00e4ck at Chartmakers. Making guest appearances are celloist Timo Virkkala, and backing vocalist Lindsay Schoolcraft (ex-Cradle Of Filth).<\/p>\n
