Polish heavy metal band Crystal Viper have released an official lyric video for their rendition of King Diamond\u2019s \u2018Welcome Home\u2019. Featuring a guest contribution from King Diamond guitarist Andy LaRocque, the clip can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Vocalist Marta Gabriel commented: \u201cI love King Diamond, his songwriting had and still has huge impact on me. He\u2019s an amazing vocalist and performer. We\u2019re also friends with Andy LaRocque, who actually co-produced one of our earlier albums. When we decided to record this cover, we thought it would be cool to invite him to join us, and he agreed, what\u2019s a huge, huge honor! We received an amazing feedback, alot of fans seems to really like our version, so although it came out few months ago we decided to revisit it and do this lyric video.\u201d<\/p>\n

Crystal Viper issued eighth full-length studio album The Cult<\/em> on January 29th, 2021 in Europe through Listenable Records. The label scheduled North American release for February 12th.<\/p>\n

Marta Gabriel stated: \u201cI\u2019m super excited about this new album, as it marks a new era of the band. First of all, it\u2019s our first album for Listenable Records, and It\u2019s also our first album with new drummer Cederick [Forsberg] who joined us last year. I\u2019m also back to playing guitar, and I couldn\u2019t be happier!<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen it comes to style and music, we decided to do something we feel very comfortable and honest with, and show everyone where we belong and where we come from. So yes, The Cult<\/em> marks Crystal Viper\u2019s return to its roots, pure classic heavy metal! You might even want to call it old school, as we feel we\u2019ve never had as many catchy guitar riffs and harmonies than on any of our other albums.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Cult<\/em> will be made available as a limited edition 12-inch vinyl LP, CD and digital album. The CD and digital versions of the album will include an exclusive bonus cover of King Diamond\u2019s \u2018Welcome Home\u2019 (featuring a guest contribution from King Diamond guitarist Andy LaRocque), while the vinyl LP version will include Crystal Viper\u2019s rendition of Satan\u2019s \u2018Trial By Fire\u2019.<\/p>\n

The album was produced and mastered by Bart Gabriel, while mixing duties fell to Cederick Forsberg.<\/p>\n

Cover artwork was created by Mario L\u00f3pez.<\/p>\n
