HARLOTT Release Music Video For \u2018Idol Minded\u2019 Track<\/strong><\/span>

Melbourne, Australia-based thrash metal band Harlott have filmed a music video for the track \u2018Idol Minded\u2019. Directed, shot, and edited by Connor O\u2019Keane of Imperium Pictures, the clip can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Harlott issued fourth full-length studio album Detritus Of The Final Age<\/em> on November 13th, 2020 through Metal Blade Records.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the first time ever, I went into this album with a blank slate,\u201d said vocalist \/ guitarist Andrew Hudson. \u201cNo ideas or requirements, just an empty record ready to be filled with whatever took me. Obviously thrash metal is the wheelhouse of what we do, and it came out pretty thrashy, but it was great to be able to set that aside and explore other avenues.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhether its lyrics or riffs or breakdowns, I always make sure that every song has at least one bit that makes you go \u2018fuck yeeeeah\u2019. I don\u2019t like the idea of thinking a song or line is \u2018good enough\u2019, so I try to make sure the elements of the song are strong enough for them to stand alone outside of the ensemble that they are part of.\u201d<\/p>\n

Detritus Of The Final Age<\/em> marks the first Harlott album to feature new members, Glen Trayhern on drums and Leigh Bartley on guitar. \u201cBoth bring their own skills and abilities as well as fresh enthusiasm and ideas,\u201d added Hudson. \u201cGlen is an absolute machine on the kit and lays a rock solid foundation for us to play to, and Leigh is a weapon on the guitar and such a unique lead writer. I couldn\u2019t have had a better ensemble for this release, and the live show is as violent as ever.\u201d<\/p>\n

The album was recorded at Legion Studio Productions in Williamstown, Australia with Julian Renzo assisting with the tracking, production and mixing.<\/p>\n

Cephalic Carnage guitarist Brian Hopp contributes solos on the track \u2018Prime Evil\u2019.<\/p>\n
