Danish thrash metal band Artillery issued seven-inch vinyl single \u2018The Last Journey\u2019 on October 16th, 2020 through Metal Blade Records. The B-side features a cover of Metallica\u2019s \u2018Trapped Under Ice\u2019. The limited edition outing was made available in the following coloured variants: black vinyl (300 copies), blue vinyl (200 copies), and yellow vinyl (100 copies).<\/p>\n

Both \u2018The Last Journey\u2019 and the rendition of Metallica\u2019s \u2018Trapped Under Ice\u2019 can be streamed below.<\/p>\n

\u2018The Last Journey\u2019 was written as a tribute to former guitarist and co-founder Morten St\u00fctzer. Morten, the brother of Artillery guitarist Michael St\u00fctzer, passed away on October 2nd, 2019 at the age of 52.<\/p>\n

Contributing guest vocals on \u2018The Last Journey\u2019 are former Artillery singers Flemming R\u00f8nsdorf and S\u00f8ren Adamsen.<\/p>\n

Both songs were recorded at Medley Studios in Copenhagen, Denmark with producer and longtime Artillery collaborator S\u00f8ren Andersen.<\/p>\n
