Icelandic atmospheric black metal band Au\u00f0n have released a music video for the title track of their latest album V\u00f6kudraumsins fangi<\/em>. Edited by Andri Bj\u00f6rn Birgisson, the clip can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Regarding the song, Au\u00f0n stated: \u201c\u2018V\u00f6kudraumsins fangi\u2019 is the title song of our new album and deals with what we perceive to be real until our minds decide otherwise. Waking up in another time, feeling someone else\u2019s presence within your being with memories foreign to you, feeling trapped in a perpetual nightmare, you begin to wonder if the life you believe you\u2019ve led even existed at all.\u201d<\/p>\n

Au\u00f0n issued third full-length studio album V\u00f6kudraumsins fangi<\/em> on October 30th, 2020 through Season Of Mist.<\/p>\n

Au\u00f0n commented: \u201cWe are thrilled to announce our new album V\u00f6kudraumsins fangi<\/em> which will be released through Season Of Mist this autumn. After the release of Farvegir fyrndar<\/em> we found ourselves wanting to expand our horizons and try new directions with our music. Adding a new member to the fold we entered uncharted territory for Au\u00f0n. We further explored themes we have wanted to chart for some time. More aggression, more melody and with the help of Jens Bogren we achieved soundscapes that echo the vast desolation that is Au\u00f0n today.\u201d<\/p>\n

V\u00f6kudraumsins fangi<\/em> was recorded at Sundlaugin Studio in Mosfellsb\u00e6r, with production and sound engineering from Stephen Lockhart of Studio Emissary. Arnaldur Ingi J\u00f3nsson provided Hammond organ on the tracks \u2018N\u00e6\u00f0ir um\u2019 and \u2018Horfin m\u00e9r\u2019, while Magn\u00fas J\u00f3hann Ragnarsson performed grand piano and mellotron on \u2018N\u00e6\u00f0ir um\u2019 and the title track.<\/p>\n

Mixing and mastering duties were handled by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios in \u00d6rebro, Sweden.<\/p>\n

Cover artwork duties fell to M\u00fdrmann.<\/p>\n

Second studio record Farvegir fyrndar<\/em> was released in November 2017 via Season Of Mist.<\/p>\n
