SPIRIT ADRIFT Release Fourth Studio Album \u2018Enlightened In Eternity\u2019<\/strong><\/span>

American doom metal band Spirit Adrift issued fourth full-length studio album Enlightened In Eternity<\/em> on October 16th, 2020 in North America through 20 Buck Spin. Release elsewhere in the world was handled via Century Media Records.<\/p>\n

Band member Nate Garrett commented: \u201cMaking a Spirit Adrift album is always intense. But Chained To Oblivion<\/em> (2016) and Curse Of Conception<\/em> (2017) dealt with issues from my past, and Divided By Darkness<\/em> (2019) dealt with external issues, from more of a philosophical perspective. So there was a bit of a protective layer of detachment between the material and myself. On the other hand, when Marcus (Bryant, drums) and I recorded Enlightened In Eternity<\/em>, we were smack in the middle of a lot of intense emotional upheaval. Hour to hour, minute to minute.<\/p>\n

\u201cSome days it took everything I had to keep working, particularly when it was time to record vocals. From a technical standpoint, things couldn\u2019t have gone smoother. But from an emotional standpoint, it was brutal. The silver lining is that our hearts and souls are embedded into this record with a raw immediacy and urgency that\u2019s unmatched by our previous material.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wrote the songs on Enlightened In Eternity<\/em> before my life fell apart, and from the beginning I set out to make this our most uplifting and empowering album. I\u2019m glad I did that, because ironically enough, these songs helped me keep going when things got bad. I\u2019m proud of the work Marcus put in, I\u2019m proud of these songs, and I\u2019m proud of how we navigated the entire experience. This is the most challenging record I\u2019ve ever made, and it\u2019s my favourite record I\u2019ve ever made. I hope it helps others the way it helped me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Music videos were filmed for the tracks \u2018Screaming From Beyond\u2019 and \u2018Battle High\u2019, while an animated music video was released for \u2018Ride Into The Light\u2019. In addition, official lyric videos were created for the songs \u2018Harmony Of The Spheres\u2019 and \u2018Astral Levitation\u2019. All five clips can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Third studio record Divided By Darkness<\/em> was released in May 2019 via 20 Buck Spin.<\/p>\n
