LIK Unveil Music Video For \u2018Morbid Fascination\u2019 Track<\/strong><\/span>

Stockholm, Sweden-based death metal band Lik have released a music video for the track \u2018Morbid Fascination\u2019. Filmed and edited by Joakim Antman, the clip can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Lik issued third full-length studio album Misanthropic Breed<\/em> on September 25th, 2020 through Metal Blade Records.<\/p>\n

Frontman Tomas \u00c5kvik commented: \u201cThe title of the record is \u2018Misanthropic Breed\u2019, because it describes the world today and the generations that are emerging. In a way, it\u2019s more applicable than ever with the quote \u2018It\u2019s every man for himself\u2019 being so suitable, and it\u2019s also a \u2018hidden\u2019 homage to both Dismember and Entombed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe songs are inspired by older Lik songs, and where we could take a new direction from that. Of course there are other bands that we love involved as well, but for example, \u2018Female Fatal To The Flesh\u2019 is an evolved take on \u2018The Deranged\u2019 from Carnage<\/em> [2018] mixed with \u2018Skin Necrosis\u2019 from Mass Funeral Evocation<\/em> [2015] while \u2018The Weird\u2019 is an even more brutal \u2018Ghoul\u2019 from the same record.<\/p>\n

\u201cThen there\u2019s \u2018Corrosive Survival\u2019, which was inspired by the disaster of Chernobyl, and \u2018Morbid Fascination\u2019 is like a Metallica \/ Entombed \/ Dismember track which turned out really cool. I think the main inspiration is still drawn from old school death metal, which we think is how death metal should be played.\u201d<\/p>\n

Misanthropic Breed<\/em> was recorded during March and April 2020 in Stockholm and Uppsala, and produced, mixed and mastered by Lawrence Mackrory (Obey Mastering).<\/p>\n
