LOUDBLAST Launch Music Video For \u2018Todestrieb\u2019 Track<\/strong><\/span>

Lille, France-based death metal band Loudblast have filmed a music video for the track \u2018Todestrieb\u2019. Directed by Brice Hincker, the clip can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the song, frontman St\u00e9phane Buriez said: \u201cIt is a bitter take on the cynicism of demagogues and the exploitation of the collective, a devastating uncompromising \u2018deathdrive\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n

Loudblast issued eighth full-length studio album Manifesto<\/em> on November 27th, 2020 through Listenable Records.<\/p>\n

St\u00e9phane Buriez commented: \u201cThis album has a particular feel for me. The themes refer to the chaos of life as such, to the chaos of society, the darkness of man revealed through his everyday actions. In Manifesto<\/em> there\u2019s the unhealthy side of our previous album Burial Ground<\/em> [2014], the atmospheres of Disincarnate<\/em> [1991], Sublime Dementia<\/em> [1993] and Cross The Threshold<\/em> [EP, 1993]… just a real Loudblast album!\u201d<\/p>\n

Bassist Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Leclercq added: \u201cWhile we kept certain elements of Burial Ground<\/em>, especially in terms of darkness, there was also common goal to go back to the roots of Loudblast. Stylistically, a balance between the brutality of Disincarnate<\/em>, and the technicity and melodicity of Sublime Dementia<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Manifesto<\/em> was produced by HK Krauss and Loudblast mainman St\u00e9phane Buriez at Vamacara Studios in Clisson, France.<\/p>\n

Cover artwork was created by Eliran Kantor.<\/p>\n

Regarding the artwork, Eliran Kantor said: \u201cSt\u00e9phane told me about the album title, and I came up with the idea for the cover late at night while I was trying to fall asleep. I pictured a book that instead of bringing enlightenment (usually portrayed by rays of light), is emanating shadows. A dark cast revealing the evil nature bubbling in black tar beneath those who read it.\u201d<\/p>\n
