Newcastle, England-born heavy metal band Raven issued 14th full-length studio album Metal City<\/em> on September 18th, 2020 through Steamhammer \/ SPV.<\/p>\n

The outing marked the first Raven studio album to feature Fear Factory drummer Mike Heller, who replaced Joe Hasselvander in 2017.<\/p>\n

John Gallagher commented: \u201cOur initial goal was just to raise the bar once more. We did a good job on ExtermiNation<\/em> [2015] and decided we just wanted more of everything next time. However, things changed once we got Mike on board. Attitude and tempos got revved up a lot! Mike is a ball of energy. He has a good ear and is a big fan of the early albums, especially the crazy feel. He\u2019s kicked us into a higher gear where we feel that we can play anything and everything we write with no restrictions.\u201d<\/p>\n

Metal City<\/em> was recorded at Michael Wagner\u2019s WireWorld Studio in Nashville, Tennessee. Mixing and mastering was handled by Chris \u201cZeuss\u201d Harris.<\/p>\n

In addition, a music video was filmed for the song \u2018Not So Easy\u2019. Speaking about the clip, frontman John Gallagher said: \u201cWe actually shot this back in April 2019 in Los Angeles while we were doing some studio lunacy at Mike Heller\u2019s place. Just a regular day at the office… lunatic style!\u201d<\/p>\n

And as well, an official lyric video was created for the song \u2018Top Of The Mountain\u2019. <\/p>\n
