Belgian death metal band Carnation issued second full-length studio album Where Death Lies<\/em> on September 18th, 2020 through Season Of Mist.<\/p>\n

The outing can be streamed in its entirety via YouTube below.<\/p>\n

Frontman Simon Duson commented: \u201cAfter two incredible years in service of the Chapel Of Abhorrence<\/em>, the time has come to venture forth into a new domain. Tirelessly, we have been building our new aural soundscape for months, and we are now ready to present what the future will hold. Prepare to witness an improved Carnation in every way possible; Where Death Lies<\/em> awaits.\u201d<\/p>\n

Recording sessions for Where Death Lies<\/em> took place between January and April 2020. The drums were tracked by Wojtek and S\u0142awek Wieslawski at the Hertz Recording Studio in Bia\u0142ystok, Poland, while the vocals, guitars and bass were recorded by Yarne Heylen at Project Zero Studio in Nijlen, Belgium. Mixing was also handled by Heylen, and mastering duties fell to Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios in \u00d6rebro, Sweden.<\/p>\n

Cover artwork was once again created by Juanjo Castellano.<\/p>\n

A music video was filmed for the track \u2018Sepulcher Of Alteration\u2019, while a live performance video was also released for the song. In addition, official lyric videos were created for the title track and \u2018Iron Discipline\u2019, a guitar playthrough video was issued for \u2018Malformed Regrowth\u2019, and drum playthrough videos were made available for \u2018Napalm Ascension\u2019, \u2018Serpent\u2019s Breath\u2019 and \u2018Spirit Excision\u2019. All eight clips can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Debut studio record Chapel Of Abhorrence<\/em><\/a> was released<\/a> in August 2018 via Season Of Mist.<\/p>\n
