Gelsenkirchen, Germany-based thrash metal band Sodom issued 16th full-length studio album Genesis XIX<\/em> in Europe on November 27th, 2020 via SPV \/ Steamhammer. North American release took place the same day via Entertainment One (eOne).<\/p>\n

The outing marks the recording debut of drummer Toni Merkel, who joined Sodom\u2019s ranks in January 2020.<\/p>\n

Genesis XIX<\/em> was recorded at Woodhouse Studio in Hagen, Germany with producer Siggi Bemm. Mastering duties fell to Patrick W. Engel at Temple Of Disharmony in Bamberg, Germany.<\/p>\n

Directed by Moritz \u201cMumpi\u201d K\u00fcnster, a music video was filmed for the track \u2018Friendly Fire\u2019. In addition, official lyric videos were created for the songs \u2018Sodom & Gomorrah\u2019 and \u2018Indoctrination\u2019. All three clips can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Fifteenth studio record Decision Day<\/em><\/a> was released<\/a> in August 2016 via SPV \/ Steamhammer.<\/p>\n
