RAGE Release Digital Single \u2018The Price Of War 2.0\u2019<\/strong><\/span>

Bochum, Germany-based metal band Rage issued the track \u2018The Price Of War 2.0\u2019 as a digital single on June 12th, 2020 through Steamhammer \/ SPV.<\/p>\n

A music video was filmed for the track and can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

In addition, an official Electronic Press Kit (EPK) for the single can also be accessed below.<\/p>\n

\u2018The Price Of War 2.0\u2019 is a re-recording of the song \u2018The Price Of War\u2019 from the band\u2019s 1995 album Black In Mind<\/em>. It is also the first Rage release to feature new guitarists Stefan Weber (ex-Axxis) and Jean Bormann (Rage & Ruins \/ ex-Angelic) who were recruited following the departure of guitarist Marcos Rodriguez.<\/p>\n

Frontman Peter \u201cPeavy\u201d Wagner commented: \u201cWe\u2019ve wanted for some time for Rage to be a quartet again, with two guitarists the way we operated back in the days of Black In Mind<\/em> and End Of All Days<\/em> [1996]. After Marcos had returned to Tenerife and consequently was no longer available, I used this opportunity to enlist two young guitarists. <\/p>\n

\u201cAs you can tell from the clip, Stefan and Jean complement each other perfectly. They\u2019re both young and bring a lot of fresh energy to the band. We consciously chose this number for the video because we also wanted to revitalise the sound of the Black In Mind<\/em> era. The track was cut practically live for the clip, with only a few overdubs added. Rage will sound as heavy and punchy as we do on that song.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs we\u2019re not in a position to do any shows for obvious reasons at the moment, but the guys are bursting with energy, we\u2019re using that momentum to work on new ideas that will probably be ready for release next year.\u201d<\/p>\n

Twenty-fourth studio record Wings Of Rage<\/em> was released<\/a> in January 2020 via Steamhammer \/ SPV.<\/p>\n
