Chicago, Illinois-born industrial metal band Ministry have released an official lyric video for new single \u2018Alert Level (Quarantined Mix)\u2019. Created by Agent Ogden, the clip can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

The song is the first new material from Ministry in two years and has a timely message as America – and the global population – face epidemics, environmental crises, political corruption and one of the biggest US elections of our lifetimes. \u2018Alert Level\u2019 will be featured on the band\u2019s as-yet-untitled 15th full-length studio album, which is slated for issue in 2021 through Nuclear Blast Records.<\/p>\n

Ministry mainman Al Jourgensen commented: \u201cWe finished the song in January and it sounded great during rehearsals for our Australia \/ Japan tour dates, before we went into quarantine. The original plan was to finish the new record before the July \u2018Industrial Strength\u2019 US tour so we could have an Election Day release, but in lieu of the circumstances – and how relevant the song feels for these bizarre times – we decided to release \u2018Alert Level\u2019 now. Considering that this song features the question \u2018How concerned are you?\u2019 I\u2019ll be interested to see how folks answer it themselves.\u201d<\/p>\n

With the release of \u2018Alert Level (Quarantined Mix)\u2019, fans are asked to be a part of the larger conversation by answering the question posed by the song\u2019s central message, \u201cHow concerned are you?\u201d. Fans should upload videos, 30 seconds or less, to their social media profiles with the hashtag #MinistryAlertLevel. All the members of Ministry will be watching from home and selecting the videos most meaningful to them, which will be later shared.<\/p>\n
