SEVEN SPIRES Release Second Studio Album \u2018Emerald Seas\u2019<\/strong><\/span>

Boston, Massachusetts-based symphonic metal band Seven Spires issued second full-length studio album Emerald Seas<\/em> on February 14th, 2020 through Frontiers Music Srl.<\/p>\n

Emerald Seas<\/em> is a theatrical concept album, and is the prequel to the story of their debut full-length Solveig<\/em>. According to a press release, the effort \u201cfollows a lone sea captain on their quest for eternal life while being hunted by an ancient beast and struggling with loneliness, sacrifice, alcoholism, and the unexpected weight that comes with achieving one\u2019s goals.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMusically, Emerald Seas<\/em> is influenced by our usual mix of melodic and extreme metal favourites and Hans Zimmer worship,\u201d explained the band. \u201cWe immersed ourselves deeply in 19th Century Romantic music and art while writing this record, and I like to think some traits from that era are present as a result. It\u2019s highly emotional; sweet and melodic at times, and quite dark and brutal at others, especially when dealing with themes like losing one\u2019s fear of death.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mixing was handled by Sascha Paeth, while mastering duties fell to Michael \u201cMiro\u201d Rodenberg.<\/p>\n

In addition, official bass playthrough videos were released for \u2018Bury You\u2019, \u2018Every Crest\u2019 and \u2018Ghost Of A Dream\u2019, while drum playthrough videos were issued for \u2018The Trouble With Eternal Life\u2019, \u2018Fearless\u2019 and \u2018Succumb\u2019. All ten clips can also be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Debut studio record Solveig<\/em><\/em> was released<\/a> in August 2017 via SAOL.<\/p>\n
