HAVOK Launch Music Video For \u2018Fear Campaign\u2019 Track<\/strong><\/span>

Denver, Colorado-based thrash metal band Havok have released a music video for the track \u2018Fear Campaign\u2019. Directed by K. Hunter Lamar, the clip can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the song and video, vocalist and rhythm guitarist David Sanchez said: \u201cAlthough it was written in 2019, \u2018Fear Campaign\u2019 sounds like it should be the theme song for 2020. The lyrics seem to become more and more relevant as the weeks go by.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the video, we wanted to capture the manic nature of media, propaganda, and other forms of mind control that have plagued civilisation for thousands of years. The fear campaign appears to be at an all-time high right now and the only way to end it is to stop being afraid. Reject fear.\u201d<\/p>\n

Havok issued fifth full-length studio album V<\/em> on May 1st, 2020 through Century Media Records.<\/p>\n

Sanchez commented: \u201cA lot of experimentation went into the writing and recording of V<\/em>. The album offers the same intensity that we\u2019re known for, but with a few twists that may surprise people. The music is dense with lots of different intertwining parts and we\u2019re beyond excited to release our best-sounding record to date.\u201d<\/p>\n

V<\/em> marks the first Havok album to feature bassist Brandon Bruce. \u201cI am really excited about this record and to be playing bass with Havok, stated Bruce. We really focused on structure and songwriting while maintaining the heavy riffs and brutal music the band is known for. I\u2019m proud of how it turned out and can\u2019t wait for everyone to hear it.\u201d<\/p>\n

The outing was engineered, mixed and mastered by Mark Lewis.<\/p>\n
