DELAIN Debut Music Video For New Song \u2018Ghost House Heart\u2019<\/strong><\/span>

Dutch symphonic metal group Delain have released a music video for the track \u2018Ghost House Heart\u2019, which can be viewed below. The clip was filmed in the dead of winter at Woolton Hall in Liverpool, which was built in 1704, meanwhile.<\/p>\n

Vocalist Charlotte Wessels commented: \u201cGoing back to such an intimate song after the bombast of \u2018Masters Of Destiny\u2019 and \u2018Burning Bridges\u2019 feels a bit like switching gears, but I enjoy every minute of it. Singing this song is almost meditative, and I love the way voice, piano and violin weave together in the track. I hope our fans will love this change of pace as well, and I can\u2019t wait to perform this song live on stage during our upcoming U.K. tour and our Valentine\u2019s Day release show in Utrecht.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThis song was created while spontaneously playing and singing together with Charlotte,” said Keyboardist Martijn Westerholt of its creation. “It seemed to create itself. It\u2019s also a nice change of pace in relation to the other songs we have written for the new album. As a pianist, of course it is fun to play a piano song for a change. We worked with violinist Shir-Ran Yinon and I think the way the violin intertwines with the vocal lines is mesmerizing. The video was a lot fun to make and it was a beautiful set with a lot of history.\u201d<\/p>\n

Delain issue sixth full-length studio album Apocalypse & Chill<\/em> on February 7th, 2020 through Napalm Records.<\/p>\n

Delain commented: \u201cWe think this Apocalypse & Chill<\/em> will surprise our listeners. It is heavy with new influences and we\u2019re really curious to find out how our audience will respond to that.\u201d<\/p>\n

The effort explores topics of impending doom and human indifference.<\/p>\n

In addition, an official lyric video was created for the track \u2018One Second\u2019, its accompanying live footage shot on the road in North America. All three clips can also be viewed below.<\/p>\n
