Dutch blackened death metal band God Dethroned have filmed a music video for the track \u2018Book Of Lies\u2019, which can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Frontman Henri Sattler stated: \u201cIlluminati<\/em> is out today and we can\u2019t wait for everyone to check out the album! We are also launching a third video today for \u2018Book Of Lies\u2019, which connects the storyline of the two previous singles \/ videos and hopefully is a track that will spark your interest in listening to the full album!<\/p>\n

\u201cAlso, we are soon to start a heavy touring campaign: First it\u2019s three special album release shows this weekend, then next week we start a first European tour with Obscura, and afterwards it\u2019s festival time, but also another European tour of which we will reveal details soon. We look forward to seeing you at one of the upcoming shows this year!\u201d<\/p>\n

God Dethroned issued 11th full-length studio album Illuminati<\/em> on February 7th, 2020 through Metal Blade Records.<\/p>\n

Sattler commented: \u201cFreemasons, occultists and conspiracy theory enthusiasts pay attention! God Dethroned is back to smack you in the face with our new album called Illuminati<\/em>. After finishing the World War One trilogy, it was about time to go back to dark side with songs about religion, freemasonry and the occult. Song titles like \u2018Spirit Of Beelzebub\u2019, \u2018Broken Halo\u2019, \u2018Book Of Lies\u2019 and \u2018Satan Spawn\u2019 leave very little to the imagination as to what to expect from us from a lyrical point of view.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut those of you who expected us to go back into a raging frenzy of endless blastbeats and buzzsaw blade guitar sounds better beware. Illuminati<\/em> is our most varied album to date with a heavy, yet in-your-face type of production. We managed to make our sound bigger and more orchestral than ever before with the use of both atmospheric keyboard parts and many additional vocal parts such as choirs and grunt-on-tone type of vocals. There is a lot to be discovered in the songs of this album because of the many details hidden in the music that will only reveal itself after many listens, and at the same time the tunes on Illuminati<\/em> are catchier than ever before.<\/p>\n

\u201cLovers of Rhandy Roads-meets-Marty Friedman type of melodic guitar solos should definitely give Dave Meester\u2019s spectacular leads a listen. Dave was welcomed to the band\u2019s line-up during the European tour with Belphegor and Suffocation and stayed within our ranks ever since. Former guitar player Mike Ferguson however contributed greatly to Illuminati<\/em> by writing several stunning songs and riffs as well as recording half of all the rhythm tracks on the album. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.\u201d<\/p>\n
