Norwegian heavy metal band Jorn, fronted by vocalist J\u00f8rn Lande, have released a music video for their rendition of Don Henley\u2019s \u2018New York Minute\u2019. Created by The Show Factory, the clip can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the song and video, J\u00f8rn Lande said: \u201cAfter releasing Heavy Rock Radio II<\/em> on January 24th, just before the coronavirus pandemic hit the world, a music video for the song \u2018New York Minute\u2019 was something I very much wanted to do. \u2018New York Minute\u2019 is one of those epic songs that is relevant regardless of the times and even though it reflects on New York City and the specific story penned by Don Henley, it\u2019s a timeless classic that is lyrically identifiable to people everywhere. It reflects everything from everyday life and love, to terror, despair, and personal crisis, and could easily include today\u2019s pandemic situation… an imprint of our time described with simple words that bring a visual to our minds. If there was ever a time capsule to be buried leaving some music for future generations to find, what better song to include, lyrically, than \u2018New York Minute\u2019? <\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been fantastic to see many fellow musicians performing from home, giving support, and sharing personal experiences in these difficult times of quarantine and illness. A heartwarming massive global movement to support all the hard working health care workers who are at the front line battling against Covid-19, the true heroes in these challenging times! Regardless of who we are and what we do, we\u2019re all affected by the situation in various ways, and I feel that despite the lockdown and physical distance of staying home, it still brings us all closer together.<\/p>\n

\u201cMany are asking for a Jorn-performance from home, and I hope releasing this video will be a good alternative to a living room show. I have been spending time with my good and very competent friends at Showfabrikken (The Show Factory), happy to be able to make this video happen in the middle of this situation, taking all necessary precautions to keep safe and healthy while working. <\/p>\n

I was humbled and truly surprised that these \u2018Jornified\u2019 versions of other artists\u2019 songs, would end up on sale charts around the world, including Billboard.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m blessed to be working with some fantastic musicians and I\u2019m very proud of the result! Francesco Jovino, who also played on the latest original Jorn album Life On Death Road<\/em> [2017], plus the first Heavy Rock Radio<\/em> album, has laid down some monster drumming with incredible groove and power.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy other band mates Sid Ringsby [bass], Tore Moren [guitar], and Alessandro Del Vecchio [keyboards] has provided some spectacular playing, and given this product their personal mark.
