Cleveland, Ohio-based black \/ thrash metal project Midnight issued fourth full-length studio album Rebirth By Blasphemy<\/em> on January 24th, 2020 through Metal Blade Records.<\/p>\n

The album can be streamed in its entirety below.<\/p>\n

\u201cRebirth By Blasphemy<\/em> is a rebirth,\u201d commented mainman Jamie \u2018Athenar\u2019 Walters. \u201cIt\u2019s a change in life and it\u2019s a rebirth of doing whatever the fuck you want and seeing what happens after that. It\u2019s about saying yes, taking opportunities, taking a fucking chance.\u201d<\/p>\n

Staying in his home town of Cleveland, Athenar opted to record at Mercenary Studios with the assistance of Noah Buchanan, laying the drums down in a day, the guitars in a little more than that, bass in a few hours, and then tracking the vocals to two or three songs a day. \u201cI think there\u2019s really no production value on the album, it\u2019s really just get in there, press record and see what happens. Maybe you can tell that the sessions went pretty quickly when you listen to it. There are so-called mistakes, of course, but I wouldn\u2019t have it any other way.\u201d<\/p>\n
