Hyvink\u00e4\u00e4, Finland-based melodic metal band Amberian Dawn have filmed a music video for the title track of their forthcoming album Looking For You<\/em>. Directed by Artturi Rosten, the clip can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Guitarist Tuomas Sepp\u00e4l\u00e4 commented: \u201cThis is the Crown Jewel of the album. This song is exactly what so-called ABBA-Metal is all about. Haunting and dramatic keyboards, strong melodies and tons of vocal tracks. I worked closely with Finnish synthesizer artist Kebu to achieve this wonderful vintage keyboard sound. I let myself go into world of 80\u2019s synthesizer music and then my band mates helped me to arrange the song into an Amberian Dawn song.\u201d<\/p>\n

Amberian Dawn issue ninth full-length studio album Looking For You<\/em> on January 31st, 2020 through Napalm Records.<\/p>\n

For their latest album, Amberian Dawn collaborated with award-winning Finnish synthesizer guru Kebu to help create a more melodic, keyboard driven style that has been influenced by Swedish pop group ABBA. As a nod to that influence, Looking For You<\/em> features Amberian Dawns\u2019s rendition of ABBA\u2019s \u2018Lay All Your Love On Me\u2019 (originally recorded for November 1980 album Super Trouper<\/em>).<\/p>\n

Contributing guest vocals on the track \u2018Symphony Nr. 1 Part 3 \u2013 Awakening\u2019 is Italian singer Fabio Lione (Angra \/ ex-Rhapsody of Fire \/ ex-Vision Divine). \u2018Symphony Nr. 1 Part 3 \u2013 Awakening\u2019 continues a story which began with \u2018Symphony Nr. 1. Part 1 \u2013 The Witchcraft\u2019, featured on October 2015 effort Innuendo<\/em> and set prior to the time of \u2018Magic Forest\u2019 (from the June 2014 album of the same name). The initial compositions tells the story of a little girl as a healer, and village elders bury her alive in a coffin, while the second instalment, \u2018Symphony Nr. 1. Part 2 \u2013 Darkness Of Eternity\u2019 (from previous outing Darkness Of Eternity<\/em>) tells the tale of the girl attempting to escape. This third instalment tells of how she became the evil witch of the Magic Forest.<\/p>\n

Included as a bonus track is a re-mastered version of \u2018Cherish My Memory\u2019, which was originally featured on the Magic Forest<\/em> album.<\/p>\n

Looking For You<\/em> was mixed and mastered by Emil Pohjalainen.<\/p>\n

Cover artwork was created by Jan Yrlund.<\/p>\n
