KOBRA AND THE LOTUS Issue Lyric Video For New Track \u2018Thundersmith\u2019<\/strong><\/span>

Calgary, Canada-based heavy metal band Kobra And The Lotus have released an official lyric video for the track \u2018Thundersmith\u2019, which can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the song, vocalist Kobra Paige said: \u201cWe\u2019ve laid the sauce on HARD!!! The guitar licks are groovy as ever and the beat is anthemic. I wrote my vocals about my journey in the music industry as one woman single handedly pushing a band. This is my way of saying I haven\u2019t given up yet. I am what I am. I keep getting up and trying no matter what happens. I\u2019m proud of who I am, I\u2019m going to keep being who I am, and we all should be. If you feel me, hop on my train. Like Chris Cornell said \u2018To be yourself is all that you can do\u2019. Let\u2019s live empowered, be fucking brilliant, like we we\u2019re supposed to so we can be \/ do better for ourselves and everyone around us\u201d<\/p>\n

Kobra And The Lotus issue sixth full-length studio album Evolution<\/em> on September 20th, 2019 through Napalm Records.<\/p>\n

Kobra Paige commented: \u201cThe new body of work sets the tone for the music going forward. Sonically, it\u2019s still heavy. It highlights the showmanship and maintains the edge. At the same time, it\u2019s approachable. It pays tribute to our influences, but it takes the next step. So, it\u2019s a reintroduction to us and a rebirth. A firm goal was to build a strong identity and update everything. We just want to be Kobra And The Lotus; that\u2019s what we\u2019re doing.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve never done a record like Evolution<\/em>. We\u2019ve flown demos over the internet back and forth or started a few ideas prior to hitting the studio. This time, we were all working together in the flesh for the full duration of the writing process. It\u2019s a collision of everything we love. We feel like it\u2019s the freshest and most timeless thing we\u2019ve brought to the table.\u201d<\/p>\n
