Long Island, New York-based hard rock band Blue \u00d6yster Cult have signed a record deal with Frontiers Music Srl, revealing this development on July 10th, 2019.<\/p>\n

Vovalist Eric Bloom commented: \u201cIt\u2019s been a long time since Blue \u00d6yster Cult\u2019s last studio album. Our biggest question from fans is \u2018when are we going to do some new music?\u2019 So we are ready to take this journey again. Recording with Danny [Miranda], Richie [Castellano] and Jules [Radino] should be a great experience as we\u2019ve been touring together for years and Buck [Dharma] and I are looking forward to including them in the creative and recording process.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lead guitarst Buck Dharma added: \u201cThe current band is great<\/em> and has never been recorded other than the live concerts, so we feel now is the time for new songs to be written and recorded. About half of the songs for the new record exist and the rest will be finished during the process.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Frontiers Music President Serafino Perugino said: \u201cWe are delighted to be able to bring back the iconic Blue \u00d6yster Cult with the release of a wealth of musical material that will certainly please all the fans. Hard rock music would not be what is now without Blue \u00d6yster Cult and Frontiers is their natural \u2018home\u2019. We look forward to a long and fruitful cooperation!.\u201d<\/p>\n

The band\u2019s 14th full-length studio album is slated for a 2020 release.<\/p>\n
