ARDOURS Release Debut Studio Album \u2018Last Place On Earth\u2019<\/strong><\/span>

European alternative gothic metal duo Ardours issued debut full-length studio album Last Place On Earth<\/em> on August 9th, 2019 through Frontiers Music Srl.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen I joined Tristania the band already had a strong identity and so I had to fit with their style while also bringing something new and fresh to the sound,\u201d frontwoman Mariangela Demurtas commented. \u201cI think that worked out very well and I am very proud of the two albums we released together. Tristania is more of an introspective and articulated sound in comparison to Ardours. I feel very grateful and thankful to the band for what I have learned throughout these years, but on the other hand I needed to do something different, something where I could be the main singer and could sing the words with passion and with the warmth of my voice.<\/p>\n

\u201cArdours has more rock and 80s influences in comparison to Tristania, including a bit of a new wave sound which is something that Kris and I love. When I chose to be part of this project, I knew I wanted to sound expressive without being technical so that I could give a more nostalgic sound to the words. This is the way I saw Ardours sounding and I can\u2019t wait for people to hear it!\u201d<\/p>\n

Lyrical content as well as drums for Last Place On Earth<\/em> were handled by Tristania drummer Tarald Lie. Bass on the track \u2018Design\u2019 was recorded by Nico Etelavuori, meanwhile.<\/p>\n

A release concert for Last Place On Earth<\/em>, and Ardours\u2019 first live show, took place on September 7th, 2019 at La Cueva Rock in Quartucciu, Cagliari, Italy.<\/p>\n

A music video was filmed for the track \u2018Last Moment\u2019. In addition, official lyric videos were created for the songs \u2018The Mist\u2019 and \u2018Therefore I Am\u2019. All three clips can be viewed below.<\/p>\n
