BURNING WITCHES Release Third Studio Album \u2018Dance With The Devil\u2019<\/strong><\/span>

Brugg, Switzerland-based heavy metal band Burning Witches issued third full-length studio album Dance With The Devil<\/em> on March 6th, 2020 through Nuclear Blast Records. The album was made available in the following formats: standard jewelcase CD, limited edition (1000 copies) digipak CD with bonus disc, double vinyl LP with two bonus tracks (black, red and yellow variants), and digital album.<\/p>\n

The band commented: \u201cThe third album is of course a very important one but we felt very comfortable with that pressure; the band was a strong unit writing and recording the new songs. The idea behind Dance With The Devil<\/em> is inspired by the famous Walpurgis night, the saga of the gathering of the witches in the middle ages! We thought this magic showdown on the Brocken mountain symbolically stands for strength and the friendship of the band, that’s why it\u2019s the perfect title for the new album!\u201d<\/p>\n

Dance With The Devil<\/em> marks the first Burning Witches album to feature lead vocalist Laura Guldemond (Shadowrise). The Dutch born singer replaced Seraina Telli, whose departure was officially confirmed on June 8th, 2019.<\/p>\n

Included on the outing is a rendition of the Manowar track \u2018Battle Hymn\u2019, which features guest contributions from former Manowar guitarist Ross The Boss and Symphony X bassist Mike LePond.<\/p>\n

Cover artwork was created by Hungarian artist Gyula Havancs\u00e1k and Destruction and Gomorra guitarist Damir Eskic, and can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

The band stated: \u201cEven before we had the album title, we knew that we wanted a cover design in the style of Ken Kelly, who did the legendary Kiss, Rainbow and Manowar covers. Our vision was to show the Burning Witches, larger than life, in this fantasy art style and with a special female touch. We love to work with the Hungarian artist Gyula and told him about our plan and he basically realised our dream of a very eye catching and energetic cover design! We hope our fans will enjoy it as much as we do!\u201d<\/p>\n

Second studio record Hexenhammer<\/em> was released<\/a> in November 2018.<\/p>\n
