Boston, Massachusetts-based metal band The Offering issued debut full-length studio album Home<\/em> on August 2nd, 2019 through Century Media Records.<\/p>\n

Vocalist Alexander Richichi commented: \u201cHome<\/em>\u2019s about feeling small, inconsequential, forgotten, wasted, and questioning how you fit in. My attempt is to see if anyone feels the same anymore. Or am I the only one? And if I\u2019m not, where did everyone go?<\/p>\n

\u201cLyrically, in this band, no word has one meaning – including Home<\/em>. Home, the word, is meant to be a haven, but instead it\u2019s often the root of our traumas. We try not to think about what home we\u2019re born into and how it\u2019s tied to our fate, and how we are ultimately a reflection of our home, our upbringing. It shows us our limitations, how we interpret \u2018safety\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would like this album to be a \u2018home\u2019 that houses people of the same mind, those who can find it as a type of refuge, especially in 2019 where so many of these emotions aren\u2019t accessible to be openly talked about with loved ones. Home<\/em> is meant to show that you\u2019re not alone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Home<\/em> was partly tracked at Carriage House Studios in Stamford, Connecticut. Mixing and mastering was overseen by Fredrik Nordstr\u00f6m at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden.<\/p>\n

Directed by Jbaw Productions, a music video was filmed for the track \u2018Ultraviolence\u2019. In addition, an official lyric video was created for the song \u2018Failure (S.O.S)\u2019. Both clips can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

A self-titled debut EP was independently released in February 2017.<\/p>\n
