Jess By The Lake, the solo project of Kuopio, Finland-based rock vocalist and Jess And The Ancient Ones frontwoman Jasmin Saarela, have filmed a music video for the title track of debut album Under The Red Light Shine<\/em>. Directed by Jarkko Mikkonen, the clip can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Jess By The Lake issued debut full-length studio album Under The Red Light Shine<\/em> on June 7th, 2019 through Svart Records.<\/p>\n

The outing can be streamed in its entirety via SoundCloud below.<\/p>\n

Jasmin Saarela commented: \u201cMusic for me represents constant progress and a means to get by in our existence in this dimension. I\u2019ve written these songs on the guitar or piano. I first started my solo project with Timo from Jess And The Ancient Ones, but eventually gathered a solo band around me from people at my school.<\/p>\n

Saarela considers the album a paean to nature and the human mind, and also to an indescribable longing. \u201cI named the project based on the fact that I\u2019ve lived by a lake for more or less my entire life,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019ve grown in the forest and felt a strong, unchanged bond with nature through the years.\u201d<\/p>\n
