We were at war with the establishment, organised religion and mainstream music. The current metal scene has lost a lot of its rough edges.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA lot of bands have adopted a polished, plastic sound and a somewhat pleasant, politically correct attitude.Thank god, or rather Satan, for bands that still choose to go against the grain, stir up some controversy and never let go of the original feeling.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The band are currently writing new material for their as-yet-untitled seventh full-length studio album, which is slated for release in early 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Thanatos\u2019 line-up is as follows:<\/p>\n<p>Stephan Geb\u00e9di (vocals and guitar)<br \/>\nPaul Baayens (guitar)<br \/>\nMarco de Bruin (bass)<br \/>\nMartin Ooms (drums)<\/p>\n<p>Sixth studio record <em>Global Purification<\/em> was released in November 2014 through Century Media Records.<\/p>\n<p><em>Promotional photograph by Peet van Wees.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>THANATOS Sign Album Contract With Listenable Records March 14th, 2019 Dutch thrash \/ death metal band Thanatos have signed an album contract with Listenable Records, confirming this development on March 14th, 2019.
