Houston, Texas-based metal group Heavy As Texas issued their self-titled debut full-length studio album on April 19th, 2019 through Crunchy Western Records.<\/p>\n

Stepping behind the drumkit for recording sessions was Anup Sastry, with engineer and multi-instrumentalist Chris Collier occupying bass for said sessions. Production was handled by guitarist Marzi Montazeri, while mixing and mastering was handled by Collier.<\/p>\n

Marzi Montazeri commented: \u201cI started this project simply because I wanted to perform new music but wasn\u2019t able to sing and play complex rhythms at the same time. So I thought, I\u2019ll stick to my strengths – the guitar and writing songs! I brought in a vocalist that would fit it perfectly – the one and only Kyle Thomas! As soon as Kyle joined, everything musically fell into place.\u201d<\/p>\n
