Vancouver, Canada-based progressive metal musician Devin Townsend issued 12th solo full-length studio album Empath<\/em> on March 29th, 2019 through InsideOut Music.<\/p>\n

Empath<\/em> includes contributions from Frank Zappa alumni Mike Keneally as music director, as well as Morgan \u00c5gren (Mats \/ Morgan Band \/ Fredrik Thordendal), Anup Sastry (ex-Monuments), Samus Paulicelli (Decrepit Birth \/ ex-Abigail Williams), Nathan Navarro, Elliot Desagnes, Steve Vai, Chad Kroeger (Nickelback), Anneke Van Giersbergen (ex-The Gathering), Ch\u00e9 Aimee Dorval, Ryan Dhale and the Elektra Women\u2019s Choir.<\/p>\n

Music videos were released for the tracks \u2018Genesis\u2019 and \u2018Spirits Will Collide\u2019. In addition, animated music videos were created for the songs \u2018Evermore\u2019 and \u2018Why?\u2019. All four clips can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Eleventh studio record Z\u00b2: Dark Matters<\/em> was released in October 2014 via InsideOut Music.<\/p>\n
