SWALLOW THE SUN Release Seventh Studio Album \u2018When A Shadow Is Forced Into The Light\u2019<\/strong><\/span>

Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4, Finland-based death \/ doom metal group Swallow The Sun issued seventh full-length studio album When A Shadow Is Forced Into The Light<\/em> on January 25th, 2019 through Century Media Records.<\/p>\n

When A Shadow Is Forced Into The Light<\/em> is fuelled by personal loss (the album title has its origins in Trees Of Eternity\u2019s \u2018Broken Mirror\u2019 track, from lone November 2016 full-length Hour Of The Nightingale<\/em> – guitarist Juha Raivio having been a member of the now defunct assortment with his late partner and vocalist Aleah Starbridge, who passed away on April 18th, 2016) and \u201cpowered by the will to continue,\u201d according to a press release.<\/p>\n

Raivio commented: \u201cEvery word and note I wrote, I wrote for Aleah and about my own battle since she passed. The album title, When A Shadow Is Forced Into The Light<\/em>, comes from Aleah\u2019s own words, \u2018When a shadow is forced into the light.\u2019 That was exactly what I needed to do. To push myself out from the shadows. I\u2019ve been pretty much a hermit in the woods for two and a half years. Gathering my life to write this album. That\u2019s also why the subject is very personal and therefore hard for me to talk about. I\u2019d rather leave it all to the music and words on When A Shadow Is Forced Into The Light<\/em> to tell the story. It\u2019s all there.\u201d<\/p>\n

When A Shadow Is Forced Into The Light<\/em> was mixed by Jens Bogren at Fascination Street Studios in \u00d6rebro, Sweden, while mastering duties fell to Tony Lindgren, also at Fascination Street Studios.<\/p>\n
