Gothenburg, Sweden-based metal band In Flames issued 13th full-length studio album I, The Mask<\/em> on March 1st, 2019 through Nuclear Blast Records (worldwide, excluding North America) and Eleven Seven Music (North America).<\/p>\n

Singer Anders Frid\u00e9n commented: \u201cThis album is really a special one to us. Since our last record, Battles<\/em>, we\u2019ve established our own annual festival in Sweden and have been touring non-stop worldwide, creating an even stronger bond with our fans. You could say it was a big part of our inspiration for this album. It\u2019s been such a long journey that just keeps going and growing. We feel extremely thankful for that, and for the support that makes it possible. We dedicate our 13th album, I, The Mask<\/em>, to our fans who allow us to keep making music and playing it every night. IN JESTERHEADS WE TRUST.\u201d<\/p>\n

I, The Mask<\/em> was recorded with producer Howard Benson at his own West Valley Recording Studios in Woodland Hills, California. Additionally, the album was mixed by Chris Lord-Alge and mastered by Ted Jensen.<\/p>\n

Cover artwork duties fell to Blake Armstrong, featuring an interpretation of the band\u2019s mascot, The Jesterhead.<\/p>\n

In addition, official lyric videos were created for the title track and the songs \u2018(This is Our) House\u2019, \u2018Burn\u2019, \u2018Voices\u2019, \u2018Follow Me\u2019 and \u2018We Will Remember\u2019. Twelfth studio record Battles<\/em> was released<\/a> in November 2016 via Nuclear Blast Records (excluding North America and Scandinavia) and Eleven Seven Music (North America).<\/p>\n
