Newcastle, England-born heavy metal group Raven issued live album Screaming Murder Death From Above: Live In Aalborg<\/em> on January 18th, 2019 through Steamhammer \/ SPV.<\/p>\n

Screaming Murder Death From Above: Live In Aalborg<\/em> consists of a performance recorded on November 27th, 2017 at Skr\u00e5en i Nordkraft in Aalborg, Denmark.<\/p>\n

Raven were not aware that the show was being recorded. \u201cWe were surprised of course, since nobody had informed us of this beforehand,\u201d commented frontman John Gallagher. \u201cWe had a flash drive with the recording delivered to us and when we checked it, we realized that \u2014 barring some small technical problems \u2014 we had a truly magical live recording on our hands. It was a near perfect concert thanks to the great atmosphere inside the hall and our out of control attitude \u2014 since, you know, we weren\u2019t aware the show was being recorded.\u201d<\/p>\n

John Gallagher favourably compares Screaming Murder Death From Above: Live In Aalborg<\/em> against previous live efforts from Raven. \u201cWe have, of course, gotten better and better on a technical level over the years,\u201d he reckoned. \u201cAlso, on Destroy All Monsters \/ Live In Japan<\/em> (1996), you can clearly hear that I was wrestling with voice issues due to a bout of laryngitis. And if you compare Screaming Murder Death From Above: Live In Aalborg<\/em> with Live In The Inferno<\/em> from 1984, it almost seems as if we had taken sedatives back then,\u201d he joked. \u201cThe Aalborg recording matches the energy which Raven is exuding 100 percent. It\u2019s the best representation of us as a live band yet.\u201d<\/p>\n
