WHITECHAPEL Launch Animated Music Video For \u2018Doom Woods\u2019 Track<\/strong><\/span>

Knoxville, Tennesee-based deathcore group Whitechapel have released an official animated music video for the track \u2018Doom Woods\u2019, which can be accessed below.<\/p>\n

Guitarist Alex Wade stated: \u201cWe are excited to release the animated video for \u2018Doom Woods\u2019 off our 2019 release The Valley<\/em>. While we have some time off from touring, we thought it would be a great time to give a visual representation to the closing track from the album. We were blown away with what the design team was able to create and we hope you enjoy it as much as we did. It really gives the track a new depth.\u201d<\/p>\n

Whitechapel issued seventh full-length studio album The Valley<\/em> on March 29th, 2019 through Metal Blade Records.<\/p>\n

The outing can be streamed in its entirety via YouTube below.<\/p>\n

The Valley<\/em>\u2019s title is a reference to the part of Hardin Valley (west of Knoxville) where vocalist Phil Bozeman grew up.<\/p>\n

\u201cPhil has been upfront in his lyrics in the past about hardships he endured in his life as a child, and I believe with this record we tried to paint a better picture of that,\u201d commented guitarist Alex Wade. \u201cI feel our music is Phil\u2019s release from his past, being able to get it out and speak about it, and hopefully anyone who hears it that may have gone through similar experiences can find some release in it as well.\u201d<\/p>\n

Whitechapel deem The Valley<\/em> as being recognizable as a work of theirs, but still an evolution. \u201cSound-wise, it\u2019s all over the place,\u201d Bozeman said. \u201cThere\u2019s aggression, and then you\u2019re hit with ominous and emotional guitar riffs. It\u2019s mean, but then transfers to soft and inviting. It\u2019s a whirlwind of emotions throughout.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Valley<\/em> was produced by Mark Lewis, mixed by David Castillo, and mastered by Ted Jensen.<\/p>\n
