Dutch rock group Vandenberg\u2019s MoonKings, featuring former Whitesnake guitarist and namesake Adrian Vandenberg, have made their acoustic version of the track \u2018Sailing Ships\u2019 available for streaming via YouTube, which can be accessed below.<\/p>\n

Vandenberg\u2019s MoonKings issue acoustic album Rugged And Unplugged<\/em> on November 23rd, 2018 through Mascot Label Group.<\/p>\n

Adrian Vandenburg commented: \u201cWe decided to strip down a bunch of songs to the bare basics and let them speak in the most essential way. Purely relying on Jan\u2019s expressive, dark brown voice and my acoustic guitar, the intense, honest performance and the songs themselves. For me personally, it\u2019s very special to have included \u2018Burning Heart\u2019 and \u2018Sailing Ships\u2019, performed straight from the heart by two friends with a passion for real, \u2018handmade\u2019 music. Two songs that have been two of the most important landmarks in my career this far, and I\u2019m just getting started.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rugged And Unplugged<\/em> features tracks taken from across Adrian Vandenburg\u2019s career.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, the sign of whether a song is good or not, is whether it still stands up when it\u2019s completely stripped down to the bare essence of it,\u201d said Vandenberg. \u201cWhat I find with acoustic versions of songs you already know is that they can touch you in a different way than the full band and even orchestral versions. You don\u2019t get \u2018impressed\u2019 by big guitars, drums and even orchestras. As a performer, you can\u2019t hide behind all that, so what\u2019s left is the emotional content of the performance and the actual song.\u201d<\/p>\n

Featuring Jan Hoving on vocals and Adrian Vandenburg on acoustic guitar, Rugged And Unplugged<\/em> was produced by Vandenburg himself, and recorded between Vandenburg\u2019s home studio and Hoving\u2019s farm.<\/p>\n
