WITHIN TEMPTATION Release Seventh Studio Album \u2018Resist\u2019<\/strong><\/span>

Dutch symphonic rock group Within Temptation issued seventh full-length studio album Resist<\/em> on February 1st, 2019 through Spinefarm Records. The outing had originally been scheduled for release on December 14th, 2018, but was postponed due to \u201cproduction problems\u201d experienced by the record label.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the album, lead vocalist Sharon den Adel stated: \u201cIf it wasn\u2019t for Resist<\/em>, Within Temptation wouldn\u2019t be here anymore. With this record, we\u2019ve taken inspiration from modern music and given it a face \u2013 a very dark one. Sometimes it feels that today\u2019s pop music lacks a rebellious edge. Our main goal was to collect pieces from sounds we did like then roughen the whole thing up as much as we could, allowing us to shape a new musical world that is heavier, dirtier and more futuristic than we\u2019ve ever created before. Resist<\/em> is our new take on metal; our way of giving a fresh lease of life to the rebellious edge of modern music.\u201d<\/p>\n

Resist<\/em> features guest vocals from Papa Roach\u2019s Jacoby Shaddix (\u2018The Reckoning\u2019), In Flames\u2019 Anders Frid\u00e9n (\u2018Raise Your Banner\u2019) and Arid\u2019s Jasper Steverlinck (\u2018Firelight\u2019).<\/p>\n

Music videos were filmed for the tracks \u2018The Reckoning\u2019, \u2018Raise Your Banner\u2019 and \u2018Supernova\u2019. In addition, official lyric videos were created for the songs \u2018Raise Your Banner\u2019, \u2018In Vain\u2019 and \u2018Mad World\u2019. All six clips can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Sixth studio record Hydra<\/em><\/a> was released<\/a> in January 2014 in Europe via BMG (excluding the UK), with UK release being handled by Dramatico in early February. Japanese issue took place through JVC Victor, while North American release occurred via Nuclear Blast.<\/p>\n
