Limburg, Netherlands-based black \/ thrash metal group Legion Of The Damned have filmed a music video for the track \u2018Slaves Of The Southern Cross\u2019, which can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Vocalist Maurice Swinkels commented: \u201cNext to \u2018Dark Coronation\u2019, \u2018Palace Of Sin\u2019 and \u2018Warhounds Of Hades\u2019, this is one of my favourite tracks on the album Slaves Of The Shadow Realm<\/em>. It\u2019s heavy as hell and sometimes reminds me of Infern\u00e4l M\u00e4jesty. It has a great atmosphere and I can not wait for the fans to share with me \u2018Slaves Of The Southern Cross\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor the video we rented the big hall of the Turbinenhalle in Oberhausen and kept it relatively \u2018simple\u2019, spending the entire day in fire blasters and filmed the band that captures the essence of Legion Of The Damned: aggressive and heavy!\u201d<\/p>\n

Legion Of The Damned issue seventh full-length studio album Slaves Of The Shadow Realm<\/em> on January 4th, 2019 through Napalm Records.<\/p>\n

Slaves Of The Shadow Realm<\/em> was produced by Andy Classen.<\/p>\n

Swinkels added: \u201cWith our seventh opus, entitled Slaves Of The Shadow Realm<\/em>, we tried to take it a little further as where Ravenous Plague<\/em> ended in terms of melody, but we definitely maintain the heavy songwriting and rawness that Legion Of The Damned is known for.<\/p>\n

\u201cSimplicity is the key with Legion Of The Damned and less is more. With Slaves Of The Shadow Realm<\/em>, we go full speed ahead with heaviness, but we took it a bit farther by bringing in melody and atmosphere.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think this is Legion’s best album to date: It crushes, it is fast, it has atmosphere and it is raw! In terms of lyrics, this is our darkest album, written by Tony ‘Skullcrusher’ Manero, who was also responsible for the lyrics and concepts of the albums Malevolent Rapture<\/em> (2006), Cult Of The Dead<\/em> (2008), Feel The Blade<\/em> (2008), Ravenous Plague<\/em> (2014), Sons Of The Jackal<\/em> (2007) and Descent Into Chaos<\/em> (2006).<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are really excited to be back after four years and hope that the true Legion fan digs this album – I am 100% certain that they will love it!<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is Legion Of The Damned – without the bells and whistles. The wait is over and we are back!\u201d<\/p>\n
