Death metal supergroup Bloodbath have released<\/p>\n

Bloodbath issued fifth full-length studio album The Arrow Of Satan Is Drawn<\/em> on October 26th, 2018 through Peaceville Records.<\/p>\n

The Arrow Of Satan Is Drawn<\/em> was recorded by Bloodbath and Karl Daniel Liden at Ghost Ward, City Of Glass and Tri-Lamb Studios during the first half of 2018, and marks the second Bloodbath outing to feature Paradise Lost frontman Nick Holmes. Cover artwork duties fell to Eliran Kantor.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat are we presenting with this album? Humanity\u2019s unfaltering march prone towards downfall,\u201d said Blakkheim. \u201cThe threat to this world isn\u2019t from far beyond the sun, the enemy is right here, within the walls. Only the god of emptiness will survive us all. The arrow of Satan is drawn!\u201d<\/p>\n

The track \u2018Bloodicide\u2019 includes a raft of British death metal singers on guest vocals, namely Jeff Walker (Carcass), Karl Willetts (ex-Bolt Thrower \/ Memoriam), and John Walker (Cancer). \u201cIt wasn\u2019t deliberately planned to be just British guests, but as it randomly turned out that way, it became a really cool feat!” laughed the guitarist. \u201cNick (Holmes), Jeff, Karl and John are all legends respectively within the U.K. death metal scene and we\u2019re proud to bring them all together on our little old school soiree to tribute the days of old.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s no mitigating circumstances coming your way any time soon,\u201d he added. \u201cThe world is a mad place full of darkness, horror, disease and terror! Hell on Earth is real and not just limited to fiction. The dark ages transcend all frontiers, ever present but yet unseen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Directed by Ash Pears, a music video was filmed for the track \u2018Chainsaw Lullaby\u2019. <\/p>\n

Guitarist Anders \u2018Blakkheim\u2019 Nystrom commented: \u201cI wanted to keep it really simple and uncomplicated whilst retaining an evil groovy drive to make the song engage in headbanging action and sing along exercises. Having started a \u2018red\u2019 thread, I then locked in the chainsaw concept as a dual tribute to the Boss HM-2 guitar pedal sound as well as my love for the horror slasher genre and had both the music and lyrics going at the same time. I\u2019ve always been a fan of lyrical paradoxes and the song title was just waiting to happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fourth studio record Grand Morbid Funeral<\/em> was released in November 2014 via Peaceville.<\/p>\n
