American death \/ black metal group Cast The Stone issued six-track EP Empyrean Atrophy<\/em><\/a> on August 31st, 2018 through Agonia Records.<\/p>\n

The outing can be streamed in its entirety below.<\/p>\n

Guitarist Mark Kloeppel commented: \u201cThe band\u2019s sound is a testament to an enduring spirit that\u2019s driven us to return to our most organic influences, merge them together, incorporate disparate elements, and forge our own sound. Each person has a distinct sound unto themselves, so it\u2019s really cool how smooth and cohesive this stuff comes across. You can immediately hear how different this is from the other things we\u2019ve been involved in, yet it\u2019s still very true to our individual styles.\u00a0Our bassist Derek progressively weaves my guitars and Jesse\u2019s uber-creative drumming style together in a way that only he can. This is all crowned off by Andy Huskey\u2019s crazy death metal vocals which are… well, just listen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Empyrean Atrophy<\/em> was produced by Dan Swan\u00f6. Cover artwork duties fell to Gary Ronaldson of Bite Radius Designs. <\/p>\n

Included is a cover interpretation of the track \u2018JesuSatan\u2019. Written by Infestdead \u2013 whose ranks boasted Dan Swan\u00f6 \u2013 its original rendition was featured on the 1999 album of the same name. Helmed by David Hall, a music video was filmed for said cover, which can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Official lyric videos were created for the songs \u2018As The Dead Lie\u2019 and \u2018A Plague Of Light\u2019, while a bass playthrough video was released for the track \u2018The Burning Horizon\u2019. All three clips can also be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Debut studio record Dark Winds Descending<\/em> was released in 2005 via Chunks Of Meat.<\/p>\n
