HIGH ON FIRE Make New Song \u2018Spewn From The Earth\u2019 Available For Streaming<\/strong><\/span>

Oakland, California-based metal group High On Fire have made the track \u2018Spewn From The Earth\u2019 available for streaming via YouTube, which can be accessed below.<\/p>\n

High On Fire issue eighth full-length studio album Electric Messiah<\/em> on October 5th, 2018 through eOne Music.<\/p>\n

The outing was produced by Kurt Ballou at GodCity Studios in Salem, Massachusetts, once again, as was the case for the two previous LPs. Additional tracking was done by Bryan Sours of Sour Sound.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are pretty happy with how the new material came together on this one,\u201d said drummer Des Kensel. \u201cWe usually go into the studio with about two-thirds of the record done, which can be a little stressful, but it forces us to make final arrangement decisions which would normally be put off in a rehearsal studio atmosphere. It also puts some pressure on us to perform at a higher level.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe bar has definitely been raised on this one, at least for me,\u201d he continued. \u201cThere\u2019s a good mix of fast and slow. The fast has gotten faster and the slow is… still slow.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bassist Jeff Matz added: \u201cWe\u2019ve definitely pushed ourselves musically on this album. The material covers a broad range of tempos and styles, but the overall sound and vibe are unmistakably High On Fire.\u201d<\/p>\n

And finally, vocalist and lead guitarist Matt Pike shared: \u201cHold on tight! You\u2019re in for a ride!\u201d<\/p>\n
