EARTHLESS Unveil Music Video For \u2018Volt Rush\u2019 Track<\/strong><\/span>

San Diego, California-based psychedelic rock group Earthless have filmed a music video for the track \u2018Volt Rush\u2019. Directed by skateboard \/ visual artist BB Bastidas and featuring SoCal skateboarder T-Spliff (a.k.a. Taylor Smith), the clip can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

\u201cStoked to present to you the very first Earthless video, directed by artist BB Bastidas,\u201d said drummer Mario Rubalcaba. \u201cWe were stoked to work with BB on this as he knows our background as a band and our close roots with skateboarding. His art is amazing and he also has a keen natural eye for film. Having Taylor Smith, a.k.a. T-Spliff, in it just makes it even sweeter. He is somewhat of a mythical figure of a skater, an amazing talent but chooses to shred at his own discretion. Those who know, know. This was a blast to be a part of and we hope you enjoy this short, high-energy rocker that cruises around our hometown of San Diego, and local club, The Casbah.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earthless issued fourth full-length studio album Black Heaven<\/em> on March 16th, 2018 through Nuclear Blast Entertainment.<\/p>\n

The outing was recorded at Rancho de la Luna in Joshua Tree, California, with Dave Catching handling production.<\/p>\n

Black Heaven<\/em> marks a shift for Earthless, with four of the six tracks featuring vocals whereas earlier albums only occasionally had vocals.<\/p>\n

Drummer Mario Rubalcaba commented: \u201cIt wasn\u2019t a premeditated thing to do a record with vocals. On the older records, Mike was responsible for a lot of the riffs that would start these jams, but on this one Isaiah (Mitchell) really brought his own pizazz and flavour to it. I\u2019d say that\u2019s one of the major differences on this album: It has more of Isaiah\u2019s input. He took a risk bringing these ideas to us, not knowing if we\u2019d like them. But as with everything we\u2019ve done in the past, it felt very organic and natural.\u201d<\/p>\n
