ANTHRAX Release \u2018Madhouse\u2019 Performance Video From \u2018Kings Among Scotland\u2019 Live DVD<\/strong><\/span>

New York-based thrash metal band Anthrax have released a live performance video for the track \u2018Madhouse\u2019. Taken from the band\u2019s new DVD Kings Among Scotland<\/em>, the clip can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Anthrax issued live DVD Kings Among Scotland<\/em> on April 27th, 2018 through Nuclear Blast Records in Europe, and Megaforce Records in North America.<\/p>\n

Kings Among Scotland<\/em> consists of Anthrax\u2019s live performance at the Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow on February 15th, 2017. The outing incorporates the group\u2019s entire live show along with interviews, behind-the-scenes footage and other B-roll shot on Anthrax\u2019s tour bus, backstage, in hotels and elsewhere. The DVD will also include a \u201cgear rundown\u201d from each of the band members.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlaying for our friends at the Barrowlands has always been very special,\u201d said bassist Frank Bello. \u201cWe all know we\u2019re going to get together and have an insanely great time, and we think that incredible interaction and energy really comes through on this video.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a pretty intense show,\u201d added guitarist Scott Ian. \u201cEspecially when the crowd was so insane, the floor actually started moving up and down.\u201d<\/p>\n

With packaging artwork created by Steve Thompson, the DVD\u2019s concert is presented in two parts. For part one, Anthrax played the \u201cfavourites\u201d that had been voted on, pre-show, by the band\u2019s fans, while for part two, the group performed their March 1987 album Among The Living<\/em> in its entirety.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a challenge for all of us to play Among The Living<\/em> live,\u201d admits drummer Charlie Benante. \u201cWe\u2019ve played a number of that album\u2019s songs in our shows over the years, but not all of them, and playing a song in a recording studio is not the same as playing it live on stage. So we put in a lot of time to get all of the tracks down perfectly. And I\u2019ll tell you, after we finished that set, as arduous as it was, we all felt a sense of exhilaration, like we could go out and do it again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kings Among Scotland<\/em> was produced, directed, filmed and edited for Film24Productions by Paul M. Green, with the sound mixed by Anthrax studio producer Jay Ruston. <\/p>\n
