Montr\u00e9al, Qu\u00e9bec, Canada-based death metal group Kataklysm issued 13th full-length studio album Meditations<\/em> on June 1st, 2018 through Nuclear Blast Records.<\/p>\n

Frontman Maurizio Iacono stated: \u201cThis is a very personal album to me with old wounds being revisited \u2013 I felt a big urge to pour my soul into this release. The boys and I were isolated under the same roof during the writing process, just like we did in the early days… with no worries except having fun, being honest and delivering a serious album that represents us today but respects our past. Our new story is coming and we are eager to share it with you!\u201d<\/p>\n

The outing was produced by guitarist Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Dagenais and drummer Oli Beaudoin, and mixed by Jay Ruston. Mastering duties were handled by Paul Logus.<\/p>\n

Cover artwork was created by Surtsey at Ocvlta Designs.<\/p>\n

In addition, official lyric videos were created for the tracks \u2018Guillotine\u2019 and \u2018The Last Breath I\u2019ll Take Is Yours\u2019. All five clips can be viewed below.<\/p>\n

Twelfth studio record Of Ghosts And Gods<\/em> was released<\/a> in July 2015 via Nuclear Blast.<\/p>\n
