Swedish metal band Liv Sin, fronted by former Sister Sin vocalist Liv Jagrell, issued digital single \u2018King Of The Damned\u2019 on October 6th, 2017. The song is a call to action for the public to do something about the extinction of the world\u2019s wildlife, with all proceeds from the single sales being donated to Swedish animal rights organisation Djurens R\u00e4tt.<\/p>\n

Singer Liv Jagrell got the inspiration for the lyrics to \u2018King Of The Damned\u2019 from Nick Brandt\u2019s picture of Cecil The Lion from the exhibition \u2018Inherit The Dust\u2019, a photo exhibition where Brandt revisited places where he used to take pictures of the wildlife that shows how these landscapes have now turned into wastelands filled with piles of garbage. <\/p>\n

\u201cThis is extremely depressing and not flattering for mankind,\u201d says Jagrell. \u201cUnfortunately this is the way we are heading if we do nothing. Remember \u2018Lion King\u2019? Well, soon there is not going to be any \u2018King of the Jungle\u2019 left. The few lions left will become the \u2018King Of The Damned\u2019 instead.\u201d <\/p>\n
