American doom rock project Vessel Of Light \u2013 a collaboration between Hades guitarist Dan Lorenzo and Ancient VVisdom frontman Nathan Opposition \u2013 issued their self-titled debut EP on November 3rd, 2017 through Argonauta Records.<\/p>\n

Dan Lorenzo commented: \u201cFor the last decade since I recorded The Cursed CD [May 2007\u2019s Room Full Of Sinners<\/em>] with Bobby Blitz from Overkill, I haven\u2019t really felt the desire to jam music with anybody. I\u2019ve had offers to join a few bands, but I\u2019ve always considered myself more of a songwriter than a \u2018real\u2019 musician. I never wanted to join somebody else\u2019s band. A few months ago that all changed when I heard the songs \u2018The Opposition\u2019 and \u2018Deathlike\u2019 by the band Ancient VVisdom.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nathan Opposition added: \u201cLorenzo and I became friends due to my inability to not be susceptible to flattery. Turns out he\u2019s a really cool guy who writes awesome riffs too. Randomly one day I ask him about the band we are starting in joking fashion. I guess it was the right timing and the right person because we immediately agreed we should actually start a project. Before I knew it he was sending me CDs of riffs and I had lyrics flowing like a faucet.\u201d<\/p>\n
