ARCH ENEMY Release Tenth Studio Album \u2018Will To Power\u2019<\/strong><\/span>

Melodic death metal group Arch Enemy issued tenth full-length studio album Will To Power<\/em> on September 8th, 2017 through Century Media Records.<\/p>\n

The outing marks the first Arch Enemy studio platter to feature erstwhile Nevermore guitarist Jeff Loomis, who joined the fold in November 2014.<\/p>\n

Will To Power<\/em> was co-produced by guitarist Michael Amott and drummer Daniel Erlandsson, while mixing and mastering was handled by long time collaborator Jens Bogren.<\/p>\n

Cover artwork was designed by Alex Reisfar.<\/p>\n

Regarding the cover artwork, Michael Amott said: \u201cIt was a pleasure working with Alex Reisfar on the Will To Power<\/em> cover artwork, he immediately grasped the concept and atmosphere we were looking for with this album. We talked about the double edged sword that is human ambition, how it can be outstandingly creative and beautiful but can also be turned into something dark and powerful. Alex proceeded to masterfully paint a strong image that evokes a lot of feelings.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe human skull as a central focal point, the flesh sort of falling off into the circular pattern. The snake ouroboros weaving in and out of the mouths and throats of the severed heads of a wolf, a goat and a vampire bat… All representing self determination and a predatory, almost parasitic will to power.\u201d<\/p>\n
